Update from Principal
Dear Students, Staff, and Families,
As we come to the close of a wonderful school year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. This has been a year of growth, learning, and achievements, and I am incredibly proud of all the hard work and dedication displayed by our students, staff, and families. For me personally, coming in as the new Principal in Term Two has been an incredible honour. I feel so lucky to be part of this vibrant and welcoming school community. I have truly enjoyed getting to know the students, staff, and families, and I look forward to continuing to grow and learn together in the years ahead.
To our students, thank you for your curiosity, your enthusiasm, and your perseverance. You've worked hard, faced challenges, and achieved so much. Whether you're moving on to high school or heading to a new school, we are so excited for the next steps in your journey, and we wish you all the best of luck.
To our staff, thank you for your unwavering commitment to our students and community. Your passion, creativity, and care make a difference every day, and we are fortunate to have such a dedicated team.
To our families, thank you for your continued support and partnership. Your involvement is a key part of our school’s success, and we couldn’t do it without you.
I would like to extend a special thank you to the staff members who will be leaving us this year. First, I would like to acknowledge Elisa Phillips, who has been a long-standing member of our school community. Elisa, your dedication to our students over the years has made a lasting impact, and your expertise and guidance, especially for our senior students, will be deeply missed. We are excited for you as you move on to a new school closer to home, but please know that your contribution here at NPS will always be remembered. Thank you for all of your hard work and commitment. Next, I want to take a moment to recognize Peter Blanch. I know that Pete has already moved on to his new school, but I wanted to publicly thank him for all of the incredible work he has done here at NPS over the years. His energy, passion, and dedication have helped shape this school, and his contributions will continue to be felt long after he has gone. Pete, thank you for all of your efforts, and we wish you the very best in your new role. I would like to acknowledge Olivia Cockcroft. Olivia started here as a graduate last year, and it has been a pleasure watching her grow and contribute to our school community. While we’re sad to see her go, we know that Inglewood PS is incredibly fortunate to have Olivia. She has made a real difference here, and we’re excited to see all the great thing that Olivia will accomplish in her next chapter. I know that this one may come as surprise as we only found out last Thursday, but I want to give a special thank you to Andria Snelson, who has served as our music specialist for the past 7 years. Andria’s work with our students has been nothing short of outstanding. The passion, dedication, and creativity Andria has brought to the music program has enriched the lives of so many. We know that Andria was selected for a school closer to home, and while they are incredibly lucky to have her, Andria’s departure leaves big shoes to fill. Thank you, Andria for your incredible contribution to our school and for inspiring so many of our students to love and appreciate music. You will be greatly missed, and we wish you all the best in this exciting new chapter I also want to recognize Pip Murdoch, who retired last year but has returned this year to work one day a week in Kindy. Pip, it has been an absolute joy to have you back, even if only for a day a week. Your warmth, experience, and dedication to our youngest learners have made such a positive impact, and we’re so grateful to have had you back with us this year. We also say goodbye to Sarah Truscott who is looking at taking on relief teaching next year, and while we’re excited for her and this next step in her journey, we will certainly miss Sarah. Her contribution to the school and the students has been invaluable, and we wish Sarah all the best. To Viv Rocca and Linda Salm, two of our amazing Education Assistants, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your hard work and dedication over the years. Your support for our students and staff has made a huge difference, and we wish you both all the best as you embark on your well-deserved retirements. Enjoy the next chapter! To Megan Saggers, you’ve been a key member of our school community, first as an EA and then as a teacher. Your dedication to our students has been so appreciated, and while we’ll miss Megan, we wish her all the best as she begins her retirement. Thank you for all the years of service you’ve given to our school. Another goodbye to Ingrid Shaw, who joined us this year as an EA, and quickly became an invaluable asset to our school. Her hard work, support, and positive attitude have made such a difference to both students and staff. We are so grateful for the impact Ingrid had this year and wish you the best in her future endeavours. To Chantel Gouges who has worked as a School Officer throughout the year, we want to wish you all the best as you move on to a full-time position at Brabham PS. Your work in the office has been crucial in keeping everything running smoothly, and we will certainly miss your efficiency and support. Good luck as you take this next step in your career. Lastly, Elle, our school psychologist, we want to congratulate you on the exciting new chapter of your private practice. Your support for our students has been invaluable, and we wish you all the best as you take this next step in your career. To all of these amazing staff, can we thank them for their dedication, passion, and the impact they’ve had on our students and staff. They will be missed, and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours.
As we prepare for the summer break, I want to extend my warmest wishes to everyone for a safe and restful holiday season. Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones, and whatever you do over the festive season, may it be filled with love, joy, and laughter. For those moving on, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours. Thank you once again to all for making this year truly special. I look forward to welcoming everyone back next year, and to those moving on—good luck and keep shining!
Warm regards,
Denise Jeffs

Student Leaders 2025
We would like to extend a huge congratulations to our elected leaders for 2025. Next year, we will hold a special assembly so these students can receive their badges and so we can formally introduce the student leaders to the rest of the school. We took some photos today and acknowledge that Lacey and Lochie are absent. We will ensure they are in the official photos that will be taken next year.

Hi Everyone,
Today is the last day of school and the final P&C event for the year, our annual school windup picnic. For those that haven't attended before, it is a fun filled afternoon on Hazlitt Oval starting at 3pm.
